Frequently asked questions
Does the counter update while I type?
Yes. The word, character, sentence and other totals refresh as you enter or paste text.
What is the difference between characters and characters without spaces?
Characters includes spaces; the no-spaces total excludes whitespace, which is useful when a form has a strict character limit.
Can I use it to check an SEO title or description?
Yes. The Limits panel shows approximate character counts for a title tag and meta description. Search engines may display different lengths depending on the query and device.
